Are you interested in a career as a public safety dispatcher with the Town of Bedford? All job openings are posted online here by the town when positions are available. Please do not contact the Emergency Communications Center directly regarding employment inquiries.

Interested candidates must have strong communication skills, computer skills, a high school diploma, and the ability to work night, weekend, and holiday shifts lasting 8-16 hours. Individuals with previous police or fire dispatching experience are preferred.

Effective July 1, 2009, salary range is $17.75-$23.84 per hour, with additional compensation provided for overtime and holidays. A comprehensive benefits package is available, including health insurance, life insurance, and county retirement.

When no positions are available, qualified candidates are encouraged to submit resumes to Human Resources to be considered for future openings.
